That post wasn't about supporting or not supporting ghosts. Just discrediting the claims in the article regarding ghost hunting shows or that proof of ghosts would shake up the world. Reading comprehension fail!@Octair

i dont believe in a soul, heaven and hell, and what not.

however its been proven that thought creates energy

I tie ghosts in with parapsychology, its still an undeveloped field, but it has very interesting and PLAUSIBLE theories.

a ghost can be a form of energy left behind in a place where strong emotions and life experiences caused mental stress to the person/s that lived there before.

lots of reports of people experiencing turmoil and stress, seem to "trigger" poltergeist effects.

now i know this is gonna sound like bullshit, but on several occasions during a particularly stressful time in my life ive experienced some weird things.

the most notable of which include a lamp flying whole 4 feet off its shelf when i was watching TV.

now if we are to believe that i am a sane, credible witness. then this brings up interesting possibilities

EDIT:Buuut it looks like people have begun to yell "fail" at each other. so this argument is dead

I do not believe you are a sane credible witness.

Oh, I could tell what it was about. Given the whole essay you wrote to describe it. Understanding comments f- ah nevermind. I don't give a shit.
Getting back on topic. That was a very interesting argument. A lamp flying four feet. Very interesting. Veeeery very interesting.

i just think that you can give credit to any argument siding with the existence of ghosts. Feeling, seeing, hearing. The brain isn't perfect, the senses aren't perfect, and hell, people aren't perfect. Witness evidence just doesn't work in this case.

I am skeptical but every now and then i get really fucking scared about being home alone. I once even heard someone call my name but there was no one in the house...

unless im bat-shit crazy a lamp flying is pretty substantial evidence, but alas, some people are just the science-sided version of arrogant religious nuts. wont listen to anything that hasnt been discovered, makes you wonder just HOW we discovered the things we know now in the first place

And here's an article saying how pointless ghost shows are for that very reason.

http://www.cracked.com/funny-3039-ghost-tv/

Wow, that article is full of fail. They've obviously never really watched a ghost hunter show before, or they'd know that the shows are structured around debunking the existence of ghosts.

The article also has no clue what the instruments are actually used for. The EMF reader, for example, is used to find a non-supernatural source that could debunk the existence of ghosts. The rest of the tool explanations are incredibly flawed, too. I know they're just trying to be funny, but when you're trying to criticize something, being wrong about your criticisms just makes you look stupid. It's only after all their debunking methods fail that the ghost hunters declare it's something they can't explain with our[/their] current understanding of science. If they actually manage to establish workable two-way "communication" with something (via non-random EVP, flashlight manipulation, etc), it could indicate it may be an intelligent entity.

Humans have believed in ghosts since the beginning of time. This is nothing ground-breaking and would not change the world/religion/life. It might change the worldview of modern scientists, but it would be no social revolution. The vast majority of humanity already takes for granted the existence of ghosts, a soul, and an afterlife, and most religions already incorporated centuries of people's experiences with "ghosts" into their belief structure, so "proof" would mean diddly squat to them.

Neiru, you should re-read this. Because you sound like a hypocritical dumbass in it. Not saying you are... not saying it.
But seriously. "Humans have believe in ghosts since the beginning of time"? Is THAT your supporting argument? I thought you were better than this. Fail.

Anything from cracked.com isn't supposed to be taken seriously. As for ghosts? My aunt became mentally retarded after usin a ouji board or whatever they're called, so I can't really say for sure  .

...

Witchy neiru is a witch xD
