Villain (2002) (வில்லன்) is a Tamil film directed by K.S. Ravikumar. The film stars Ajith Kumar, Meena, Kiran Rathod, Karunaas, and Ramesh Khanna. The film's score and soundtrack were composed by Vidyasagar.

I like villains who suffer from physcological problems like split personalties.

My ultimate villain is sadistic, intelligent and dangerous. And i like him to have a background, so you can understand his motives. My favourite villain will always be dr. Hannibal Lecter. He fits the description perfectly.

I my world an awesome villian isn't easily beaten (or not beaten at all).
He/she is powerful and damn good at what he does. Why he does it doens't really matter, but I must admit that I do like those really insane villains who "just likes to see the world burn".

But really the first thing I mentioned is the most important, HE/SHE CAN'T BE EASILY BEATEN OR BEATEN IN SOME LAME WAY.

Some of my favorite villains are Aion (Chrono Crusade), Hidan (Naruto, I actually stopped watching the show when he was killed by that smart kid) and ofc the God Hand (you know from where).
FIGHT THE POWAH!!

A great villain is a villain who knows how to rip his enemy to shreds without lifting a finger. It takes cunning, higher intelligence and some mental issues.

Out of the "love-to-hate" category: intelligent, manipulative, psychotic and/or sadistic tricksters. Examples:

Vincent (Pandora Hearts): puts on a sweet, innocent act but is really playing several sides against each other to achieve his own goals. Very skilled manipulator, very clever, quite psychotic.

Alonzo (Training Day): ruthless, manipulative bastard.

Dakki (Houshin Engi): smart, very manipulative and sadistic, puts on a show of innocence.

Out of the sympathetic villains who I can often see as a hero: ends justify the means types working towards what they think will be a better world. Examples: Ra's Al Ghul (Batman Begins), Anotsu Kagehisa (Blade of the Immortal), Magneto (X-Men), generic ecoterrorists

LoneNecromancer: "Stop terrifying people, Neiru. They want to hate Griffith in peace
and don't need someone making rational arguments."

The Joker (Dark Knight) - a cruel game of manipulation, creating chaos as distraction while bending the characters to his will and reshaping them into his own agents of chaos. Notice how the only characters the joker physically kills are a few insignificant minor characters.

John Doe (Se7en) - Another manipulative villain, though most of his glory appears by the end of the film. Do not want to spoil it to anyone, but those who saw know what I'm talking about. The 6th and 7th sin and their punishments were brilliant.

Agent Norman Stansfield (The Professional) - Stansfield is a cold blooded murderer and severely mentally disturbed, he has no regrets and no sympathy or any emotional connections whatsoever which indicates he is a true psychopath (see the scene where he hums Beethoven and shoots down the apartment with a shotgun).
The only thing that does bother him is not killing small children or an entire family, it's the fact that someone managed to escape him and he would tear an entire building down in order to find that person and finish the job.
